My hair was totally fried after trying a new two-step home coloring and highlighting kit. Worse than being fried it began breaking off at the roots and had the texture of straw. Yuck! I have used this treatment mask 3 times now and have had immediate results. I had to use a lot of it, I have long hair, and you have to leave it in for the full 15 minutes; wash it out too soon and you won’t have the same results. My hair is softer and more pliable and shiny. Feels stronger, not so brittle and break prone. The only thing I dislike about this product is the fragrance. It is VERY strong and gives me a headache. It has a smell similar to incense, very much like myrhh or some other heavy/perfumy/spicy lingering odor. The odor (and yes, to me it is an odor not a fragrance) is heavy enough and lingers in your hair all day so that I find it interferes with whatever perfume I’m wearing. I wish Fekkai would opt for a lighter and less overwhelming fragrance for this product.

Many of us have received a shock when we brushed our hair or combed it into place. Yech! Some of those hairs are actually breaking off. This happens to the best of us after too much coloring (yes, highlights are color), too many heated curls or perhaps worry or an illness.
One of the best hair strengtheners we’ve found is Frederic Fekkai’s Protein Rx. It’s enriched with soy and milk proteins to reinforce hair.
To use simply apply to clean, towel dried hair. Massage it gently throughout hair, paying special attention to roots. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse with cool (that reads cool, not hot) water.
We’d recommend once a week usage unless your hair and you are totally distressed. As a preventative, we’d suggest using it once a month.

This stuff works – plain and simple. The fragrance smells like vanilla pudding, or custard… or almonds. Can’t really tell but the fragrance smells delicious. A previous post said that the fragrance is overwhelming and it smells like myrrh or incense. Not true.
I chemically straightened my hair so my hair really needed this stuff. It made my hair so soft and shiny – as if it never had caustic chemicals on it in the first place. It’s the best.

I swear by this product; of course, one would have to see my hair to understand why. I was blessed with hair that is so thick, dry, coarse and at my age, greying. I actually won this product initially in a sweepstakes and was amazed beyond belief. I even used it on my 80 year old Mother’s hair with the softest and shiniest result I’ve ever seen. It literally softens my hair with NO tangles, gives it body and sheen and as an added bonus….the unbelievable, lovely scent that can’t even be described. I would never pay this price for any hair product that I didn’t consider just short of miraculous. If I can just hold on until it gets shipped…;-).

Highly recommend it to anybody with long color-treated hair. After using this hair mask my hair was very soft, shiny and very easy to comb. Would buy again.
WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE PROTEIN CONTENT AND FORMULA OF SOME OF THESE PRODUCTS… GIVEN FOR INSTANCE, THE PROTEIN POWDER FOUND IN THE PRODUCT “PROTO WHEY”; THEIR PROTEIN IS “HYDROLYZED” WHICH BASICALLY MEANS THAT THE SIZE OF THEIR PROTEIN IS REDUCED AND MUCH SMALLER COMPARED TO ISOLATED PROTEIN. PROTO WHEY HAS MICRO SIZED PROTEIN AND BECAUSE OF THIS, IT MAKES IT MUCH EASIER FOR THE BODY TO INTAKE THE PROTEIN AND NOT WASTE IT. IT ALSO HAS FEWER CARBS, SUGAR CONTENT AND CALORIES
